RVS Attire respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use www.rvsattire.in, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the site you consent to this policy.

1. Information we collect

• Order details — name, email, phone number, and shipping address, collected when you place an order or contact us.
• Payment references — UPI/bank transaction reference numbers you share for verification. We never collect or store card numbers, CVVs, PINs, or banking passwords; card payments (once live) are handled entirely by a PCI-certified payment gateway.
• Preferences on your device — your cart, wishlist, and login preference are stored in your browser's local storage, not on our servers, until you place an order.
• Account & wallet records — your account details, order history, store-credit balance and its statement, kept so you can see and query them.
• Usage and security data — standard server logs (IP address, pages visited) and records of failed sign-in attempts, used to keep accounts safe and to detect fraud.
• Return and delivery evidence — photographs and video you send us with a return or damage claim, and our own dispatch and inspection photographs of your parcel.

2. How we use it

• To process and deliver your orders, verify payments, and send order updates by email.
• To respond to enquiries sent through the contact form.
• To improve our collections, website experience, and customer service.
• To prevent fraud and abuse — we look at order, return, delivery and payment patterns across accounts, phone numbers, addresses and payment instruments to detect return fraud, duplicate-account offer abuse and payment fraud. This protects genuine customers, and is described in our Returns & Refunds Policy. Decisions that affect your account are always reviewed by a person, and we tell you the reason.
• To meet our accounting, tax and legal obligations.
• We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

3. Sharing

We share information only with service providers who need it to serve you:

• Courier partners — name, phone, and address for delivery.
• Payment gateway (once live) — to process card/UPI payments securely.
• Email service provider — to deliver transactional emails.
• Authorities — only where required by applicable law.

4. Data retention & security

• Order, invoice and wallet records are retained for as long as accounting and tax law requires — currently eight years for GST records.
• Return and delivery evidence is kept for up to two years, so a disputed claim can still be reviewed fairly after the fact.
• Passwords are stored only as salted scrypt hashes — we cannot read your password, and neither can anyone who obtained our database.
• Our servers use encrypted connections (HTTPS); access to customer data is restricted to staff who need it, and admin actions on accounts, orders and wallets are logged against the person who made them.
• You may request a copy of your data, or its correction or deletion (subject to the legal retention periods above), by writing to us. We respond within 30 days.

5. Cookies & local storage

We use minimal browser storage to keep your cart and wishlist working between visits. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

6. Children

Our website is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
